Media Representations of Indigenous Peoples in North America

This course critically analyzes North American media representations of Indigenous peoples in film, music, visual art, and social media. It examines the persistence and socio-political effects of stereotypes, as well as the creative ways in which Indigenous artists are using media to challenge representational practices and reclaim their identities.
