Sedimentary Geology in the Field

This course covers advanced methods of sedimentologic analysis in the field, with a particular focus on modern sedimentary environments (including alluvial-fan, fluvial, lacustrine, and eolian systems), integration between remote sensing and field data collection (including analysis of low- and high-resolution satellite imagery, aerial orthophotography, and their multi-temporal analysis), and analysis of equivalent sedimentary facies in rock successions. Prerequisites: GEOL 3217 - Sedimentology and Stratigraphy. (Exp/Lab/Lec 3) 3 cr.
